QUEST Literacy
Reading Timelines
I am really encouraging the kids to use our QUEST website to stay organized. I hinted to them that I would leave a secret message on the site. If you email me and tell me your favorite book, I will give you a $3.00 bonus.
QUEST students in grades 2 – 5 are required to read assigned novels at home. Students in first grade may choose to read from the second grade book list if they wish. Each student’s level of comprehension will be assessed once they have read half of the assigned book. They will be assessed a second time once they have completed reading the entire novel. Scores will be reflected on their report card. Below you will find book titles and due dates for our first QUEST novel.

Fourth QUEST Book
Students will select a nonfiction book on a topic they wish to learn more about. The book will be due: April 16.
Students may need parent help to select an appropriate book. Once a student has selected a book they wish to read, he/she needs to show it to Mrs. Stark. If the book is on an e-reader, they need to just tell Mrs. Stark the title of the book. If you want Mrs. Stark to take your child to the school library to select a book, just ask. The book should not be at a reading level that is too simple or too challenging. The book should not be historical fiction. If you need further clarification, feel free to email Mrs. Stark at [email protected]
